1,3-Propane sultone/1,3-PS is an electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries, which helps to improve the life cycle and high-temperature performance of batteries and inhibit gas production. It is also used as a brightener in the electroplating industry, a dye surfactant, and a pharmaceutical intermediate.
